Death Carries On 
 
He picks and chooses 
Who wins an who loses 
No one knows why  
Or who's next to die 
 
Young or old 
Sick or healthy  
He'll take the poor 
And he'll take the wealthy 
 
By day and by night 
He works out of sight 
On and on not even counting 
Death works hard to climb life's mountain
